Information We Collect
Account Information
We collect your email address for account creation, authentication, account management, and support.
User-Provided Content
We collect information you provide directly in the app, including workout logs, fitness goals, food or nutrition inputs, sleep notes, stress or habit-related inputs, messages with the AI assistant, uploaded images or files, and other information you choose to submit.
Health Data via Apple HealthKit
With your explicit permission, Amicus may access HealthKit data you authorize, such as steps, calories, workouts, activity, sleep-related data, and other health or fitness data you choose to permit.
HealthKit data is used only to provide app functionality, personalize fitness and wellness insights, and improve your experience inside Amicus. Amicus does not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, data selling, or sharing with advertisers.
Device Permissions
Depending on the features you use, Amicus may request optional access to your camera, photos or media, files, and device storage. These permissions are used only for features you choose to use, such as uploading a meal photo, attaching a file, or analyzing user-provided content.
Automatically Collected Data
We may collect limited technical information, including device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, diagnostics, usage data, and performance data. This information helps us maintain app reliability, troubleshoot issues, and improve performance.

AI Processing and Third-Party AI Providers
Amicus uses third-party artificial intelligence providers to power parts of the app, including the AI assistant, fitness and wellness insights, food or image analysis, recommendations, summarization, and contextual memory.
Amicus may use AI services from:
- Anthropic
- OpenAI
- MiniMax
When users interact with AI-powered features, Amicus may send relevant user data to these providers so they can process the request and return a response, summary, recommendation, or analysis.
The data sent may include user messages, conversation history, relevant memory or context, fitness goals, workout logs, food and nutrition inputs, sleep, stress, habit, and wellness-related inputs, uploaded images or files, app-generated summaries, and HealthKit-derived summaries or metrics where the user has granted HealthKit permission.
Amicus does not authorize third-party AI providers to use user data for advertising, resale, or independent marketing purposes.
HealthKit Data and AI Processing
Where AI processing is required to provide personalized app functionality, Amicus may send summaries or derived metrics based on HealthKit-authorized data to third-party AI providers.
For example, Amicus may process activity patterns, workout summaries, step counts, energy expenditure, or sleep-related summaries to generate personalized insights.
Amicus does not send HealthKit data to third-party AI providers for advertising, marketing, or resale.

This section explains which third-party AI providers may process data, what categories of personal information may be sent, why the data is sent, and how users can delete their account and associated data.
Users can also review their conversation history, logs, and user-provided information inside the app where those features are available.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
We may share data only with service providers necessary to operate Amicus, including cloud hosting, storage, diagnostics, authentication, infrastructure, and AI processing providers. We may also share data when required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
Data Storage and Security
Conversations, account information, user-provided content, app-generated insights, and other app data may be stored on secure servers.
We use encryption in transit and appropriate safeguards at rest where applicable. Access is restricted to authorized systems and personnel. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect user information.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain user data while your account is active or as needed to provide app functionality. Conversation logs may be stored to support AI memory, continuity, and personalized responses.
You can permanently delete your account and associated data within the app. Upon deletion, personal data and conversation history are permanently erased from Amicus systems, subject to any limited retention required by law, security, fraud prevention, or backup processes. Account deletion is irreversible.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access your personal data, request correction, request deletion, withdraw consent, object to certain processing, or request a copy of your data.

Children's Privacy
Amicus is not intended for users under 13 or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. These countries may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
